Teens are in their true formative years. These years have a long lasting influence on the type of person they become in future. Reading habit shapes up better thinking ability, which translates into better speaking and comprehending abilities. In the knowledge driven world we live in, those skills are indispensable. This quote by Margaret Fuller sums it perfectly, “Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.”
In my middle school, I was addicted to Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. I found the collection of true stories about ordinary people's lives, both inspirational and entertaining. Perhaps this influence is what helped me blend with people around the world.
