I think it's important for teens to enjoy reading because reading exercises their imagination, strengthens their critical thinking skills, and challenges their evolving worldview.
In middle school, what I enjoyed about reading the most was being able to travel to places that I may never visit in real life and vicariously live through varied cultural experiences.
My all time favorite book is Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man. It is the reason I became a literature major in college.
