This is a short story written by the Grimm Brothers in the 1800s. It details the story of a fisherman and his wife. When the fisherman encounters a wish granting flounder, his wife continuously and greedily asks to have more material wishes granted. The story displays a theme of being thankful for what one has. This selection is targeted towards 6th grade students.
