In her speech to the United States Congress on the topic of women’s suffrage, Carrie Chapman Catt strongly advocates for the rights of women by appealing to the ethics of the nation’s Constitution and proclaiming that she and her supporters will never end their battle until they have won the vote. The women’s suffrage movement was a long and hard battle, with this being a step on the path to equality. In this speech, Carrie attempted to convince Congress to pass the Federal Suffrage Amendment.
