Martin Robison Delany (before 1885)

Active in the mid to late 1800s, Martin Delany was an abolitionist and advocate of black nationalism who worked alongside Frederick Douglass. Although he was born as a free man, he worked tirelessly to free other enslaved people of color. This text is for 8th-12th grade students.
