The March on Washington was one of the most monumental events in the American civil rights movement. Involving over 200,000 marchers and hosting MLK’s “I Have a Dream Speech”, the march was highly regarded and publicized. Additionally, it was an integral part of continuing the battle for civil rights. This text is for 8th-12th grade students.
