In the recounting of this pivotal Supreme Court case dealing with segregation in American schools, Chief Justice Earl Warren describes the necessity of desegregation in public schools. Jim Crow Laws were still enforced in the South near the time of this decision. Consequently, this case came about and brought forth equality.  As students read, they should take notes on Justice Earl’s reasoning evidence in the case. This text is for 10th grade students.
