Steve Jobs (1955-2011) was the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. He is also well known as a very successful and charismatic entrepreneur. In addition, Jobs was a pioneer of the personal computer revolution and co-founder and chief executive of Pixar Animated Studios. In his 2005 commencement address at Stanford University, Jobs offers students insight into how to lead a successful life. As students read, they should take notes on the central ideas of Jobs’ stories, and the rhetorical devices that make his points effective. This text is for 7th grade students.
