Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani girl who was shot in the head on her way to school in an underprivileged and dangerous community. She survived the cruelty and harm that the Taliban caused to her and her companions, and became a major public figure. This speech is one that she gave in 2013 about how her experience has inspired her to fight for the educational rights of women and children all over the world. This selection is targeted towards 8th grade students.
