While the month of December is internationally known for three major religious and commercial holidays, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza, it also holds the title of National Human Rights Month. Civil liberties and natural human rights are celebrated during the month of December in recognition of the many strides that the US has made in protecting human rights.
